Still Life Matters

mb11.jpg
If there were no boundaries marked out by Man, will we still get a sense of space?

mb10.jpg
Everything falls into its own place even if Man doesn’t move them.

mb7.jpg
We all fit somewhere.

mb8.jpg
Sometimes, you need imperfections to work more effectively.

mb5.jpg
When two things come together, something will always be left out.

mb3.jpg
When you focus only on one thing, you lose detail on others.

Having the best tool but no knowledge of use is just as futile.

There is a bigger and brighter world beyond one’s solitary existence.

Everything has its purpose.

hi Joanne, i noticed that you still have the book P.S I Love You under the books you hope to read. I really recommend the book. Keeping in mind that the author was only 21 (i think) when she wrote the book, I think she has brilliantly executed her writing skills – just like you when you write! The book is very touching. Especially a must read if you like romantic novels. (: enjoy!

impressive quotes. i dont suppose they’re random thoughts, but they usually just flow when you immerse yourself in the realm of pure, untainted sort of a thinking mode. it’s that way for me, is it the same for you?

:)

Got to see that you’ve added some pics of your trip in flickr. Nice!

Hi Kimberleyy,

I haven’t received your letter :( Will let u know when I do ok?

  joannepeh wrote @

Hi Fairy,

You sound very zen, that’s wonderful! Actually, mine were quite random. I didn’t plan to have an entry like that, I uploaded the pictures and I composed the quotes as they first come to mind. :)

Hi Shoe,

I bought a Ricoh GX100. It’s a lot more economical to buy digital equipment and accessories from Singapore unless u’re absolutely certain the models in Japan don’t exist here, because chances are, prices and bundle deals are a lot better here. I learn this expensive lesson after finding an $899 bundle deal for the same camera at the IT show. Boohoo…

Hi Qing Hui,

I’m still very raw as a photographer. If you see some of my school mates and their work, it takes your breath away! http://www.dave-yang.com He’s my friend’s brother and a photo editor of Reuters. I love all his work, especially those he took in India. Look at just how rich the colours are, the way he plays with light, movement, his pictures are full of emotions!

Hi Joanne… I have switched my blog to wordpress now but i don’t know how to create my own page something like yours… My bookshelf,Books I hope to read etc. How do you do that?

Nat

  joannepeh wrote @

Hi Nat,

That is a little bit complicated, i try to explain. I find the pix i want from the net, using photoshop, create a banner that is consistent in size, then I have to upload this picture at an external location such as photobucket, resize them, copy the html code, and then edit the url link within the code when I paste it into my “text” widget. You can add “text” widgets to ur columns and label them accordingly for e.g. my favourite books, my wish list etc. Widgets can be found under “presentation”. take ur time to slowly explore.hope tis helps.

  nat.. wrote @

okay… thanks… I think i’ll be able to figure up something… thanks again!

  ta’ wrote @

nice pictures and quote..=D

  mo wrote @

hey! post more!!

  Qing Hui wrote @

Hello, I just created a WordPress account, and was just wondering your wish list, bookshelf and current status is under which widget. ;D

  nat.. wrote @

when you say copy the html code what exaclty do you mean? everytime i past the code only the code appears, no picture. yes, i haven’t done it yet after so long. tests coming up. must study ma.

Hi Joanne,

I just wondered how you managed to write so well? Does reading often helps??

And I love your posting on the golf. The pictures was great and the quotes fit real well!!
How did you managed to do that?

Cheers!
Kelly

  joannepeh wrote @

Hi Kelly,

I’m still learning, I do read as much as I can, but I don’t force it. Sometimes I don’t feel like reading so I don’t. I think a lot though, whenever i read something, I sort of chew on it and then ponder over it.

I guess God is fair, I suck at numbers and science, so I just might have a gift for writing?
Thanks so much for your encouragement, I am so happy u like it!

Love,
Joanne
